Parents Arrested For Being Poor - Bail Set At $600,000

[EVNN Editor: What kind of insanity is this?! California insanity of course! We know already what a socilaist hell hole California is. It's the kind of dystopian parallel universe where wealthy Fascists (who call themselves "Liberals" - see George Orwell's 1984 for "NewSpeak") blather on incensently about their concerns for the poor and "equality" (whatever that is) while actual poor people are left with dwindling opportunities. If these do-gooders are truly concerned about the children why not help the parents instead of arresting them? Because Marxo-Fascists see parenthood as a privilege bestowed by the state and not a natural right. In a totalitarian police state, there are no "unalienable rights". Your rights vary from moment to moment based on the whims of the elites. How far we have fallen]

"Neighbor Mike Reynolds said the couple lost their home in the recession, but they owned the land where they were living."

" Bail was set at $300,000 each" If it were $3,000 each, they still couldn't come up with the money because THEY ARE POOR!

"I don't think they're criminals at all. They're a family doing the best they could to survive," Reynolds said.

Reynolds said he's heard that they had no water and no electricity. "But neither did the settlers," he said.

Panico, meanwhile, seemed bewildered at the charges against him in court. "I'm wondering why all this is happening," he said.

Friends also said the children built the box, which they called a "fort," themselves, and were very proud of the structure. In fact, they said the kids enjoy sleeping there.

"I am not agreeing that this is the perfect situation that they're living in, but they're homeless," said Marsha Costodio, a friend of the family. "Where are they supposed to live?"

In addition, the friends emphasized that the children were not held against their will. They described the kids as being happy, and that they would often go to the library.

"This is not a situation where they're criminals. This is a situation where these people are homeless and poverty-stricken and afraid to have their kids taken from them, like what happened," Leanne Monroe, another friend, said.
